You may have seen from our forecast bar that its been a bit windy this week. We are fortunate though these Northelies can still be safely sailed in the Bocayna Straits. This is the stretch of water that separates us here in Lanzarote with our neighbouring island of Fuertaventura. Volcanic twins!
The lee of Lanza keeps the seas relatively low....but the wave period can give that edge to a beat!
Yesterday's visit to the port of Coralejo made for some great manouvering practice and pilotage in fresh conditions, rewarded with a lovely fish supper ashore.
Happily back in Rubicon tonight with the Capital of Arecfife to look forward to later in the week in the almost new marina.
